مونتي كلارو

Monte Claro — A Sarchimor type in Venezuela, worked up from Timor Hybrid 832/2 crossed with Villa Sarchi CIFC 971/11. The material arrived in the 1970s under Dr Erasmo Perez Nieto and his team at INIA and was evaluated at several sites before release.

Flavor Profile

Nuts and cocoa with mild citrus acidity, thick smooth body and a clean finish that suits medium-dark roasts.

Brewing Tip

Pour-over at 92-93 °C, 1:14-1:15, medium grind with a slightly longer drawdown, to build body and a cocoa finish.
